About the Show
HuntCast - The Outdoor Show was created by host Joe Duckworth, in September of 2006. A life long hunter and part time fisherman, Joe decided to share his love of the outdoors, and his experiences teaching his young children that same appreciation, with anyone who would listen. Listen they did! Within a few weeks of the shows creation, it became the number one most listened to hunting/fishing show on the net and is consistently ranked at the top of the category at the Apple iTunes music store. Not only does the HuntCast show have traditional radio listeners in the home market of Michigan, but in every state, and over 50 countries around the world!
The show is recorded each week in Joe's home studio as well as the facilities at Great Lakes Radio, using sophisticated editing and recording software, and is then formatted as an .mp3 file. This enables the simple and quick delivery of each show to media outlets around the globe.
The success of the show thus far, even though there has been almost no marketing done to date, is testament to the popularity of Joe gearing the show to appeal to the "regular guy".
